Liverwurst and Pear Chutney Canapés

Ingredients
250 g pkg. Piller's Fine Liverwurst
Artisan fig and nut crackers
Chutney
15 ml (1 Tbs.) extra virgin olive oil
2 pears, finely diced
1 onion, finely diced
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
125 ml (½ cup) red bell pepper, finely diced
60 ml (¼ cup) zucchini, finely diced
1 ml (¼ tsp.) allspice
1 ml (¼ tsp.) smoked paprika
1 ml (¼ tsp.) chipotle pepper or cayenne pepper
Method

In a small non-stick fry pan over medium heat, warm olive oil for 1 minute. Add onions, red peppers, zucchini and garlic; sauté for 3 to 4 minutes. Add spices and pears; continue to sauté for 2 - 3 minutes. Transfer chutney to a bowl and cool in the refrigerator for at least one hour. Place a teaspoon of liverwurst on each cracker (gluten-free, if preferred) and garnish with half a teaspoon of chutney.
