Turkey Bite Rolls
INGREDIENTS
| 200g | 6 Piller's Turkey bites | 200g |
| 8 oz. | Puff Pastry | 225g |
| 8 oz. | Goat cheese | 225g |
| 1/2 cup | Chopped sun dried tomatoes | 25ml |
| 1 Tbsp. | Chopped fresh rosemary | 15ml |
| 1 | Egg | 1 |
| Flour for rolling |
METHOD
- In a food processor combine the goat cheese, rosemary and sun dried tomatoes and process until smooth.
- Purchase the all ready made puff pastry in pre-rolled 10" X 10" sheets. Flour a work surface and roll out one of the sheets until the width of 2 turkey bites side by side.
- Spread 1/3 of the goat cheese mixture on 1/3 of the rectangle of puff pastry.
- Place 2 turkey bites side by side in the middle of the goat cheese then roll the puff pastry over to form a cylinder.
- Brush edge of pastry with whisked egg ( this acts as an adhesive) then finish rolling until pastry sticks together.
- Slice down edge and remove cylinder from remaining puff pastry on work surface.
- Repeat this operation 2 more times giving you 3 cylinders in total.
- Place all cylinders on a cookie sheet, brush with remaining egg and refrigerate for 10 minutes to allow to firm up.
- Cut each cylinder in half (1 turkey bite per half) then cut each half into 6 rolls. This will give you a total of 36 individual little rolls.
- Replace the rolls on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 425ºF for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
