Maple Glazed Ham

INGREDIENTS

1 x 1.4kg Piller’s Black Forest Ham  (whole) 3lbs approx.
16 Cloves  
1/4 cup Brown Sugar 60ml
1/4 cup Maple Syrup 60ml
1/4 cup Dijon Mustard 60ml
1 tbsp. Fresh Rosemary (finely chopped) 15ml

METHOD

  1. With a sharp knife, make shallow cuts in a crosshatch pattern across the top of the ham about 2 inches apart.
  2. Insert a clove at each intersection.
  3. In a small saucepan mix together sugar, syrup, mustard and rosemary.
  4. Brush a thin layer of mix over the ham and bake @375° F for 45 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile heat the rest of the glaze over medium-high heat until it thickens (about 3 to 4 minutes).
  6. Brush remaining glaze onto the ham and cook 8 to 10 more minutes.

Slice and serve!
