Apple-Ginger Glazed Ham
INGREDIENTS
| 1 | Piller's ham | 1 |
| 1 | Ginger Ale | 1 |
| ½ cup | apple jelly | 125 mL |
| 2 tbsp | Dijon mustard | 25 mL |
| ¼ tsp | dried ginger | 1 mL |
Remove ham from plastic wrapper and place in a shallow roasting pan. Pour gingerale around ham to come ½ inch (1 cm) up sides of ham. Cover pan tightly with foil. Bake in a 325° F (160° C) oven, for 30 minutes.
In a saucepan, heat apple jelly over medium heat, stirring until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and whisk in mustard and ginger.
Discard foil from pan and spoon half the glaze over ham. Return ham to oven and continue to cook for 30 to 45 minutes longer (basting once more during cooking) or until meat thermometer inserted into center of meat registers 140 °F (60°C). Transfer ham to a platter, and let stand, uncovered, 10 minutes before slicing.
If desired, garnish ham with apples and assorted greens.
